When the Job Is Big, the Details Matter More

Large format printing isn’t just about sheet size. It’s about control. It’s about maintaining color accuracy across a wide image area. It’s about managing board stock without slowing down. And it’s about delivering high-volume work without losing consistency.

At Allied Litho, large format printing services are built around real-world production demands. Tight timelines. Complex specs. Packaging and display work that can’t afford mistakes. That’s the kind of pressure we’re used to.

If you have printing jobs that need scale without sacrificing precision, you’re in the right place.

Large Format Printing Capabilities

73” Manroland 900 XL Press

56” Manroland 900 Press

Seven-Color KBA RA106

73” Manroland 900 XL Press

Oversized sheet capacity for work most printers can't touch.

Our 73-inch press is the largest sheet-fed press in our lineup and a capability many regional printers simply don’t have. With maximum sheet sizes of 51.25” x 72.75”, it allows us to handle oversized graphics, large packaging components, retail displays, and complex commercial pieces that many shops simply can’t accommodate.

This press features:

Automatic sheet size, thickness, and gripper adjustments for fast changeovers from paper to board

Semi-automatic plate loading to reduce makeready time

Capable of handling board stock up to .040” thickness

ColorPilot density and color measurement for fast, accurate control in a single pass

When projects push the limits of size and substrate, this press is built to absorb the challenge. Big sheets don’t intimidate us. They’re kind of our thing.

56” Manroland 900 Press

For projects that require substantial sheet size without reaching full 73” capacity, our 56-inch press runs up to 40.125” x 56”.

It shares the same quick-change, semi-automatic plate loading, and ColorPilot control features as the 73” press, allowing us to maintain consistency across different production formats. That means you’re not sacrificing control when adjusting specs.

Different format. Same steady execution.

Both presses are designed for high-volume, large format commercial printing with steady, repeatable output.

Seven-Color KBA RA106 for High-End Applications

Large format printing isn’t always just about scale. Sometimes it’s about finish quality and visual contrast.

Our 40” KBA RA106 press runs up to 29 1/4” x 41 1/2” and can print one to seven colors plus aqueous and/or UV coating. Its unique configuration, with a seventh unit positioned between the coater units, makes it ideal for packaging and specialty large format color printing. That configuration allows us to apply high gloss and dull contrast effects in a single pass, reducing additional handling and preserving registration.

For brands that demand refined finish work, this press gives us added flexibility. Because sometimes the difference between good and exceptional is all in the finish.

Custom Large Format Printing Solutions

Every large format project comes with its own set of constraints:

Board thickness

Finishing coordination

Ink density

Scheduling limitations

Substrate behavior

We regularly print on a wide range of standard and specialty materials. If a stock requires testing or adjustments, we approach it with controlled R&D rather than shortcuts. We evaluate materials before production, not after problems appear on press. We’d rather test it early than fix it late.

Our goal isn’t just to run the job. It’s to ensure the result performs in the field, whether that’s a retail display, packaging component, signage application, or multi-part campaign piece.

Built for Commercial Volume

We operate across three shifts, five to six days a week. Press operators are cross-trained across machines, allowing us to shift production when priorities change. That production structure gives us flexibility when schedules shift or when a client needs work moved up. Because schedules always shift.

Large format commercial printing often involves:

Multi-sheet runs

Complex approvals

Tight delivery windows

Coordinated finishing

Because we’re built for sustained output, we absorb changes without scrambling the entire production floor.

And if additional finishing is required — foil stamping, laminating, die cutting, or folding and gluing — we coordinate through long-standing production partners to keep quality high and timelines intact.

Who We Typically Work With

We support clients nationwide from our Kansas City facility. Our large format printing solutions primarily support:

Commercial printers needing overflow capacity

Packaging companies and converters

Print brokers and agencies managing multi-part campaigns

Brand-side production teams handling retail rollouts

National B2B clients with complex specifications

Most clients come to us when their in-house equipment hits a limit or when the job simply can’t afford trial and error.
